Active Citizenship, Environment
Rosarian Youth Volunteers are youth of Barangay Sto. Rosario, Mexico, Pampanga, ages fifteen (15) to thirty (30), who voluntary help the Sangguniang Kabataan Council with their programs, projects, and activities. The RYV currently has 30 members and is continuously growing and actively participating in the current and future PPAs of the SK Council. The main objectives of the RYV: 1. To address and meet the needs of the community by engaging youth in meaningful volunteer work. 2. To provide young people with opportunities to develop valuable life skills, such as leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and time management. 3. To foster personal growth and self-confidence in youth by giving them responsibilities and challenging tasks. 4. To encourage active citizenship by involving youth in community and social issues. This helps them understand the importance of civic responsibility and the impact of their contributions. 5. To cultivate empathy and compassion in youth by exposing them to different perspectives and experiences, often through direct service to those in need. 6. To support educational goals by providing experiential learning opportunities. Volunteers often gain insights and knowledge that complement their academic studies. 7. To create opportunities for young people to connect with mentors, professionals, and other volunteers, helping them build networks that can be beneficial for their future careers and personal lives. 8. To promote understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and backgrounds through interaction with different community groups and service experiences. 9. To inspire and engage youth in efforts aimed at addressing social issues and driving positive change within our community. 10. To promote the well-being of both volunteers and those they serve by fostering a sense of purpose and belonging, which can contribute to overall mental and emotional health.
