Health, Education, Social Inclusion and Equity, Governance, Global Mobility
The Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP) is a prominent NGO providing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services to marginalized populations. Its youth arm, Kabataang FPOP, is essential to this mission through the following actions: • Advocacy & Education: They champion Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and deliver Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) to combat teenage pregnancy and STIs, including HIV. • Peer-Led Outreach: By training young people as peer educators, they effectively share SRH information and provide community services like contraceptive distribution and PrEP access. • Policy Engagement: They advocate for the full implementation of SRHR laws and the integration of health education into school curricula. • Youth Governance: FPOP empowers young members by involving them directly in the organization’s governance and decision-making processes. In short, Kabataang FPOP equips young Filipinos with the resources and agency to make informed, healthy decisions regarding their reproductive lives.
