The Blue Vanguard is a vibrant community-based drum and lyre corps born out of a shared love for music and performance in the heart of Vinzons, Camarines Norte. More than just a musical group, we are a family dedicated to giving local youth a place where they can find their rhythm and their voice. Our organization is built on the belief that every beat of the drum and every note of the lyre is an opportunity to teach life skills, patience, dedication, and the power of working in harmony. We offer a space where young performers can transform their passion into artistry, growing into confident leaders both on the parade grounds and in their daily lives. Blue Vanguard serves as a "second home" for our members, offering a safe, inclusive, and creative outlet that keeps them active and inspired. We believe that music has the power to bridge gaps, which is why we work closely with our local barangays and schools to keep our culture of performance alive. Whether we are practicing under the sun or performing under the lights, our goal is to bring pride to our town and a sense of belonging to every child who picks up a mallet or a pair of sticks. Objectives: 1. To open doors for young people in Vinzons to learn music and performance, regardless of their background or experience. 2. To build strong character by teaching the value of hard work, punctuality, and the "brotherhood" of a marching unit. 3. To find and polish the raw talent of our local youth, giving them a stage to shine at festivals and regional competitions. 4. To host hands-on workshops where members don't just learn notes, but also learn how to lead and mentor their younger peers. 5. To bring joy to the community through street parades, field shows, and outreach events that celebrate our local identity. 6. To work hand-in-hand with local leaders to ensure that the arts remain a priority for youth development and community spirit. 7. To use our music as a platform for good, performing in support of health, education, and the well-being of our fellow citizens.
