Health, Education, Social Inclusion and Equity

The Gender and Development (GAD) Core Group at Bestlink College of the Philippines is a recognized youth organization dedicated to fostering an institutional culture rooted in equality, sensitivity, and justice. Its primary vision is to ensure that all students can exercise their rights within an environment that respects individual identity. By proactively addressing systemic barriers, the program’s mission is to eliminate gender bias, oppression, and discrimination, striving for a campus that is truly "gender-free" in its prejudices. To achieve these goals, the GAD Core Group focuses on several key objectives centered on education and advocacy. It actively supports the college by conducting seminars and workshops that heighten awareness of gender sensitivity. Beyond general equality, the program serves its constituents through specialized programs covering human rights and reproductive health rights. By strengthening the promotion of gender equity across all departments, the program broadens the community's understanding of inclusivity. Additionally, it facilitates essential advocacy and networking efforts to address evolving gender issues. Through these combined efforts, the program transforms the college into a socially responsible space where gender justice is a lived reality for every member of the academic community
