The Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) – Local Student Council (LSC) of the Santa Cruz Extension Campus is the highest governing student body within the extension campus. As a Youth Organization, it serves as the primary bridge between the student population and the college administration. The council is dedicated to representing student rights, fostering academic excellence, and promoting a vibrant campus culture in the municipality of Santa Cruz. Objectives: To ensure a holistic and empowered student experience, the LSC operates with the following core objectives: - Student Advocacy: To serve as the official voice of the students, ensuring their concerns, rights, and welfare are prioritized in campus policy-making. - Leadership Development: To provide a platform for students to develop essential leadership, management, and civic skills through grassroots initiatives and community involvement. - Academic & Extra-curricular Integration: To organize programs that complement the academic curriculum, such as seminars, sports fests, and cultural events that promote well-rounded development. - Community Engagement: To strengthen the partnership between DSSC and the Santa Cruz community through social responsibility projects and environmental advocacies. - Transparency and Accountability: To maintain an honest and efficient student government that manages funds and projects with full transparency for the benefit of the student body.
