The Supreme Student Learners Government (SSLG) aims to join the NYC–Youth Organization Registration Program (NYC-YORP) to improve student leadership and encourage active youth participation. Through this program, SSLG members will develop skills in leadership, teamwork, planning, and decision-making while representing the school in a positive way. Participation in NYC-YORP will also help students become more creative, responsible, and aware of their role in the community. It will encourage them to take part in activities that support the school and serve the community. In addition, joining NYC-YORP will allow the SSLG to connect with other youth organizations, share ideas, and learn good practices in leadership and service. These experiences will help the organization plan better programs and projects that respond to the needs of students and benefit both the school and the community.
