Active Citizenship

The Palawan National School Senior-Plus Red Cross Youth (PNS SPRCY) is a school-based humanitarian organization composed of Senior High School students who support the mission, vision, and principles of the Philippine Red Cross. The organization helps develop students’ leadership skills, discipline, teamwork, and sense of social responsibility through different volunteer activities. It also aims to shape students into caring and responsible individuals who are aware of humanitarian issues and are ready to help during emergencies in school and in the community. PNS SPRCY conducts various programs such as first aid and basic life support training, disaster preparedness activities, health and safety campaigns, blood donation drives, and community outreach programs. These activities help members gain important life-saving skills, become more responsible, and build awareness about the importance of being prepared and helping others. Advocacy: PNS SPRCY advocates for a safe, prepared, and caring youth community. The organization encourages students to be involved in disaster preparedness, health awareness, and volunteer service so they can contribute positively to society and support people in need. Through continuous participation in Red Cross activities, students learn the value of volunteerism, empathy, and unity. The organization also strengthens the relationship between the school, the Philippine Red Cross, and the community. Overall, PNS SPRCY inspires students to serve others, respect human life, and become socially responsible youth who are willing to make a difference in their school and community.
