The Palawan State University Laboratory Junior High School Student Body Government (PSU LJHS SBG) is the duly constituted and officially recognized governing body of the student population of the PalSU Laboratory Junior High School, established to represent, protect, and advance the collective rights, interests, and welfare of the students. It shall serve as the primary mechanism for the development of competent, accountable, and principled student leadership, and shall be vested with the authority to formulate, adopt, and implement policies, plans, programs, and projects consistent with school rules and regulations, and in coordination with the school administration. The SBG shall exercise its mandate to ensure peace, order, and discipline within the school premises by promoting compliance with established policies, preventing acts of disorder, violence, rebellion, or other conduct detrimental to the school community, and supporting the imposition of appropriate sanctions in accordance with due process. It shall require and coordinate the participation of all classroom-based and student organizations in the implementation of school-approved activities and initiatives within their respective jurisdictions to promote unity, cooperation, and effective governance. Furthermore, the SBG shall actively support and initiate development-oriented programs and projects that contribute to the academic, social, and institutional advancement of the Laboratory High School, including improvements in facilities, student services, and campus environment. In the exercise of its functions, the SBG shall act as a consultative and representative body that fosters transparency, accountability, and democratic participation, while maintaining a harmonious and constructive relationship between the student body and the school administration, thereby ensuring that student governance operates in a lawful, orderly, and sustainable manner for the benefit of the entire school community.
