The Paiton Out of School Youth Organization (POSYO) is a community-based youth organization established on December 6, 2025, in Barangay Paiton, Tangub City, Misamis Occidental. It is composed of out-of-school youth aged 15–30 who are committed to personal growth, leadership development, and meaningful participation in community-building. The organization was formed to provide a structured and inclusive platform where out-of-school youth can organize themselves, strengthen their capacities, and actively contribute to local development initiatives. Guided by its Constitution and By-Laws, POSYO promotes youth empowerment through participatory leadership, collective decision-making, and community engagement. POSYO aims to uplift the welfare and development of out-of-school youth by enhancing their skills, knowledge, and employability through education support, skills training, and livelihood-related activities. It seeks to cultivate positive values, discipline, and responsible citizenship among members while encouraging their active involvement in community development, local governance processes, and civic initiatives. The organization also endeavors to strengthen its institutional capacity by developing competent youth leaders and sustaining participatory programs responsive to the needs of its members. Furthermore, POSYO actively coordinates and collaborates with government agencies, non-government organizations, and local stakeholders to implement lawful, inclusive, and youth-centered programs that promote empowerment, social inclusion, and sustainable community development in Barangay Paiton.
