Health, Education, Active Citizenship
Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) of Calamba City Science Integrated School is a student-led organization that works toward creating a safe, healthy, and drug-free school environment. It serves as a space where students can learn, speak up, and support one another in making responsible choices. Through awareness activities, peer discussions, and school-based campaigns, CCSIS BKD helps students better understand the risks of illegal drugs and substance abuse, and why prevention matters. The organization believes that strong values, positive friendships, and active student involvement play a big role in keeping the school community safe. By encouraging leadership, teamwork, and open conversations, CCSIS BKD aims to build a culture where students feel guided, empowered, and accountable not only for themselves, but also for their peers. The group works closely with school officials and community partners to ensure that drug-prevention efforts are continuous, relevant, and responsive to the needs of learners. Objectives To inform students about the effects and dangers of illegal drugs through simple, clear, and student-friendly awareness activities. To promote positive peer influence and strengthen camaraderie among students. To develop leadership skills by involving students in planning and leading drug-prevention initiatives. To support a safe and healthy school environment through collaboration with the school and community. To encourage responsible decision-making, self-discipline, and resilience among learners.
