Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) is a school-based organization that promotes environmental awareness, education, and action among students. It serves as the official co-curricular environmental organization recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd). YES-O encourages learners to become responsible stewards of nature by participating in various environmental projects and programs that contribute to the school and community. The organization aims to strengthen environmental consciousness through hands-on activities such as tree planting, waste segregation, recycling, campus clean-ups, and climate action initiatives. It also fosters leadership and teamwork by involving students in planning and implementing projects that support sustainable development goals. Through its advocacy, YES-O envisions building a generation of environmentally literate youth who are capable of leading meaningful change. Guided by its mission, the organization works to promote a clean, green, and sustainable environment by empowering students to take part in both local and national environmental movements. The objectives of YES-O are: 1. To raise environmental awareness and promote eco-friendly practices in school and the community. 2. To provide opportunities for students to take active roles in environmental projects and campaigns. 3. To collaborate with school authorities, local government, and partner organizations in implementing environmental programs. 4. To develop leadership, volunteerism, and responsibility among youth members. 5. To support DepEd’s vision of creating a sustainable and resilient learning environment.
