The YECS program is a co-curricular initiative designed to foster an entrepreneurial culture among high school students, providing them with hands-on experience in managing micro-business cooperative and understanding the principles of cooperativism . Through YECS, students learn to identify business opportunities, manage resources, and engage in teamwork and leadership, enhancing essential life skills such as financial literacy, problem-solving and decision-making. At Maligaya Integrated National High School, the program allows students to operate small-scale projects, such as school-based stores, food production or recycling cooperatives, where profits are shared among participants and reinvested to sustain operations. This practical approach not only prepares students for self-employment and entrepreneurial careers after graduation but also instills values cooperation, responsibility and social awareness. CORE OBJECTIVES: The YECS is committed to the following objectives: * Instill entrepreneurial culture and cooperative mindset among students. * Develop Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PECS) through micro-business cooperatives. * Contribute to poverty alleviation and long-term rural economic development.
