The Red Cross Youth Circle (RCYC) is the recognized student leadership body of the Red Cross Youth organization in the school or community. It serves as the coordinating group that plans, leads and supports Red Cross Youth activities in line with the principles and programs of the Philippines Red Cross (PRC) and the Department of Education (DepEd). The RCYC helps develop young leaders whoa are compassionate, responsible and ready to serve others, especially in times of need. Through teamwork and volunteer service, the Council encourages students to take active roles in humanitarian work, health promotion, disaster preparedness and community service while upholding the Seven Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross. OBJECTIVES: The Red Cross Youth Council aims to: * Promote humanitarian values and the Seven Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross among the youth. * Develop leadership, teamwork, and volunteerism skills of RCY members. * Plan, organize, and support Red Cross Youth programs and school-based activities. * Encourage youth participation in health, safety, disaster preparedness, and community service initiatives. * Strengthen cooperation between RCY members, school authorities and the Philippine Red Cross. * Help build responsible, discipline, and service-oriented students who care for others and the community.
