The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) is a school-based co-curricular organization established under the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines. It aims to unite students in promoting environmental awareness, protection, preservation, and sustainable practices within schools and communities. YES-O serves as a platform for young people to actively participate in environmental programs, projects, and advocacies that support ecological balance and climate action. Objectives of YES-O 1. To develop environmental awareness, responsibility, and leadership among students. 2. To promote and implement school-based and community-based environmental programs and activities. 3. To instill the values of conservation, protection, and sustainable use of natural resources. 4. To support the government's environmental laws, campaigns, and projects, especially those led by the DENR and DepEd. 5. To foster collaboration among students, teachers, and stakeholders in addressing environmental issues such as waste management, climate change, and biodiversity loss. 6. To encourage active youth participation in creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment.
