The CLIMB is the official student publication body of the Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas. It exists to uphold and advance the constitutionally mandated rights of students to freedom of expression, fairness, and responsible participation in public discourse. As a student publication, CLIMB serves as a credible platform for information dissemination, opinion exchange, and journalistic practice, while safeguarding the rights, welfare, and well-being of its members and the wider student body. In performing its functions, CLIMB aims to embody integrity, professionalism, and accountability, acting as a positive representation of the institution and the City of Batangas. Anchored on the ideals of truth and social responsibility, CLIMB is committed to promoting excellence, benevolence, and the continuous development of responsible journalism. It recognizes journalism as a powerful tool for social transformation and therefore pursues dynamic, ethical, and accountable reporting that contributes meaningfully to campus awareness and societal consciousness. As an independent institution, CLIMB operates free from censorship, while remaining firmly grounded in the values, principles, and moral standards upheld by the college, relevant institutional guidelines, and applicable laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Moreover, CLIMB respects the rights of individuals and institutions who may be subject to critique, ensuring that all parties are afforded fairness and the opportunity to respond to criticism or commentary. Through these commitments, CLIMB fosters a culture of critical inquiry, respect, and responsible expression, nurturing student journalists who are both courageous in truth-telling and mindful of ethical boundaries. The CLIMB shall at all times strive to: Section 1. Inform the Public with events, news and articles that are of interest and relevance to the institution especially the students. Section 2. Serve as a venue for campus opinion and site to maintain an atmosphere of free and responsible dialogue and of rational study. Section 3. Develop student’s powers of observation and discrimination concerning relative evidence of news articles. Section 4. Provide an opportunity for journalistic and artistic writing.
