San Andres Vocational School - Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (SAVS-YES-O) is a student-led organization committed to promoting environmental awareness, responsibility, and sustainable practices within the school and the wider community. As an active arm of the Department of Education’s environmental initiatives, SAVS-YES-O serves as a platform where students can actively participate in protecting and preserving the environment through meaningful actions and advocacy. The organization encourages students to become environmentally conscious leaders by integrating environmental values into daily school life and community involvement. SAVS-YES-O believes that the youth play a vital role in addressing environmental challenges. Through various programs, projects, and campaigns, the organization fosters a sense of stewardship, discipline, and teamwork among its members. Activities such as recycling drives, clean-up campaigns, tree growing, eco-friendly projects, information drives, and school-based environmental events aim to translate knowledge into action. YES-O also supports creativity and innovation by encouraging students to use recyclable materials and promote sustainable solutions that benefit both the environment and society. Objectives of SAVS-YES-O 1.To increase environmental awareness and understanding among students regarding current environmental issues and concerns. 2.To promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices within the school, home, and community. 3.To encourage active student participation in environmental protection, conservation, and preservation activities. 4.To develop leadership, responsibility, and teamwork among students through environmental programs and projects. 5.To support school and community initiatives that aim to reduce waste, conserve resources, and protect nature. 6.To inspire students to become advocates of environmental stewardship and responsible citizenship. Through dedication, unity, and consistent action, YES-O strives to create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future by empowering the youth to be responsible guardians of the environment.
