The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Pedro Mariscal National High School is the highest student governing body that serves as the official representative of the learners. It is committed to exemplary public service and acts as a catalyst for positive change by promoting student participation, leadership, and accountability. Guided by its vision, the SSLG strives to develop learners who are socially, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally responsible citizens who respect their rights, fulfill their duties, and contribute meaningfully to society and to the glory of God. Anchored on its mission, the organization works to establish a participative, informed, and responsive student government that delivers honest, dignified, and quality service. It strengthens the character, integrity, and responsibility of students while fostering unity and cooperation within the school community. The SSLG aims to: 1. Develop students' love for country, core values, and essential competencies for nation-building. 2. Promote a student-friendly, safe, and motivating learning environment. 3. Represent the student body in school policy-making processes related to learners' rights and welfare. 4. Build an inclusive, service-oriented, gender-sensitive, and environmentally responsible community. 5. Enhance learners' self-confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 6. Empower students to strive for excellence in academics, leadership, and social responsibility. 7. Uphold the values, principles, and ideals of the Department of Education. 8. Serve, protect, and promote the rights, welfare, and holistic development of every learner. Through these efforts, the SSLG continues to be a partner of the school in forming empowered, disciplined, and socially responsible future leaders.
