The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Kalawag II Youth Volunteers is a community-based youth organization dedicated to fostering civic consciousness, leadership, and proactive service among the young residents of Barangay Kalawag II, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. Established as the volunteer arm of the Sangguniang Kabataan, this organization serves as a bridge between local governance and the grassroots youth sector. We believe that the youth are not merely future leaders but are active "partners in change" today. Our organization mobilizes diverse talents to address local challenges through various forms of volunteerism, including environmental advocacy, health and wellness initiatives, disaster response, and educational support. By providing a structured platform for engagement, we empower our members to contribute meaningfully to the Barangay’s Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP). We are committed to inclusivity, ensuring that out-of-school youth, students, and young professionals alike have the opportunity to serve, grow, and lead. Organizational Objectives The SK Kalawag II Youth Volunteers aim to achieve the following: To Promote Civic Engagement: To encourage and mobilize the youth of Kalawag II to participate actively in local governance and community-building activities, fostering a sense of ownership and patriotism. To Enhance Leadership and Skills: To provide training, seminars, and hands-on experiences that develop the character, leadership capabilities, and technical skills of members for personal and professional growth. To Implement Holistic Youth Programs: To lead initiatives focused on the "9 Centers of Youth Participation," specifically targeting health (mental health and anti-drug campaigns), education, and environmental protection (clean-up drives and reforestation). To Provide Manpower for Social Services: To serve as a reliable volunteer force for the Barangay and Municipality during disaster relief operations, medical missions, and community outreach programs. To Foster Solidarity and Inclusivity: To create a safe and supportive environment that unites the youth across different backgrounds, ensuring that every voice is heard in the development of Isulan.
