The CAST (Communication Arts and Skills Team) is the official campus journalism and broadcasting organization of Sta. Maria National High School. Composed of dedicated student-campus journalists, the organization serves as a premier student-led media hub and dedicated to the pursuit of truth and creative excellence, specializing in technical writing, photojournalism, and digital broadcasting. By acting as the primary production team for the school paper, the organization provides a platform for students to hone their communication skills while documenting the history and achievements of the school community. The CAST pursues the following objectives: • Skill Development: To train members in the technical aspects of campus journalism, including news writing, layouting, and radio broadcasting. • Media Integrity: To uphold the highest ethics of journalism by ensuring all published and broadcasted content is accurate, honest, and fair. • Active Engagement: To serve as a bridge between the school administration and the student body by disseminating relevant information through various media platforms. • Organizational Excellence: To foster a collaborative environment that encourages diverse viewpoints and efficient operations while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy. • Community Representation: To represent Sta. Maria National High School in local, regional and national journalism competitions, showcasing the talent and professionalism of its members.
