The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) of Mandaragat San Miguel Senior High School is a student organization committed to promoting a drug-free lifestyle and creating a safe and responsible school community. The organization serves as a support group where students encourage one another to make positive choices and stay away from illegal drugs and other harmful substances. BKD aims to empower students by strengthening peer influence, building awareness, and promoting values such as discipline, respect, and responsibility. Through various school-based programs and activities, the organization helps students understand the serious effects and dangers of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society. BKD works closely with the school administration, teachers, and community partners in implementing campaigns that promote prevention, education, and responsible behavior among students. The organization also encourages students to become role models and advocates of healthy living in school and in their communities. Objectives: 1. To promote awareness among students about the harmful effects and consequences of illegal drugs and substance abuse. 2. To encourage students to live a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle. 3. To strengthen positive peer influence by encouraging students to support one another in making good decisions. 4. To conduct seminars, awareness campaigns, and school activities that educate students about drug prevention. 5. To support the school’s programs and government initiatives that promote a safe and drug-free community. 6. To develop leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility among student members. 7. To encourage students to become active advocates in promoting drug prevention and healthy living within the school and community. Through these efforts, the Barkada Kontra Droga organization aims to build a supportive environment where students help protect one another from the dangers of illegal drugs and work together toward a safer future.
