The District Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government (DFSSLG) is the highest representative body of secondary learners at the district level. Anchored in its Constitution and By-Laws, it serves as the unified voice of all Supreme Secondary Learner Governments (SSLGs) within the district. It operates under the principles of democratic leadership, transparency, accountability, and service, ensuring that the interests and welfare of learners are upheld in partnership with school administrators, teachers, and community stakeholders. The federation strengthens coordination among schools, harmonizes learner-led initiatives, and promotes active participation in programs aligned with the directives of the Department of Education. The DFSSLG is committed to developing competent, responsible, and values-driven student leaders who exemplify integrity and collaboration. Guided by its Constitution and By-Laws, it provides a clear structure for governance, defining the powers, duties, and responsibilities of elected officers, committees, and member schools. It ensures that all actions and decisions are grounded in fairness, inclusivity, and respect for diversity. As a federated body, it also serves as a platform for consultation, dialogue, and collective action on issues affecting secondary learners across the district. Objectives of the District Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government: To represent and protect learner interests at the district level by serving as the official channel of communication between learners and district authorities. To promote participatory and shared governance by encouraging collaboration among SSLGs, school heads, teachers, and community partners in planning and implementing programs. To develop leadership competencies among student officers through trainings, assemblies, and district-wide initiatives that cultivate accountability, discipline, and service-oriented leadership. To initiate and support learner-centered programs that promote academic excellence, mental health awareness, environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and nation-building. To ensure alignment with national and division policies by implementing programs and activities consistent with the mandates of the Department of Education. To uphold democratic principles and ethical standards in all federation activities, ensuring transparency in decision-making, financial management, and project implementation. Through these objectives, the District Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government becomes a dynamic and empowering institution that nurtures student leadership and strengthens the collective voice of learners in shaping a responsive and inclusive educational environment.
