The Junior Association of Hospitality Leaders (JAHL) should be registered with the National Youth Commission (NYC) to strengthen its legitimacy, expand its reach, and amplify its impact both within the institution and in the wider community. As a student organization rooted in hospitality and service, JAHL already demonstrates meaningful contributions to the school through leadership development, student engagement, and the promotion of professional standards aligned with the BSHM program. Its initiatives—such as service activities, wellness programs, and faculty appreciation efforts—reflect a culture of gratitude, discipline, and industry readiness. In the community, JAHL extends its role beyond academics by organizing outreach programs that promote care, well-being, and social responsibility, embodying the true essence of hospitality. Registering with NYC will elevate JAHL from a campus-based organization into a recognized youth development partner at the local and national levels. This opens opportunities for leadership trainings, government-supported programs, and collaborations with other youth organizations. More importantly, it allows JAHL to contribute to nation-building by aligning its projects with youth development goals, such as community service, sustainable tourism, and skills empowerment. With NYC recognition, JAHL can further expand its initiatives—reaching underserved communities, creating larger-scale service programs, and producing student leaders who are not only globally competitive but also socially responsive. Ultimately, registration is not just compliance; it is a strategic step toward greater influence, stronger credibility, and a deeper commitment to service.
