Active Citizenship

UQCSHP12YO is an organization built on February 26, 2023, founded by and for the youth of our community; united by a shared commitment to empower the next generation as active stewards of our community. In a rapidly changing world, our neighborhoods face unique challenges—from environmental concerns and urban development to social equity and local governance. Recognizing the power of collective action, we came together to amplify youth voices, bridge generational gaps, and drive sustainable change right where we live, which led to the founding of this organization. Our Goal is to engage every young resident in meaningful community affairs, fostering a generation of proactive leaders and servants equipped to serve and uplift, not only the UQCSHP12 community, but also our families, our barangay, our city and our nation. It is our Mission that through collaborative programs in leadership, volunteerism, and civic engagement, we inspire constituents not only to lead but also to take the initiative and take part in community affairs, with integrity, with compassion, and contribute to a resilient, inclusive barangay. Our Objective is to promote youth participation in civic and communal affairs, cultivating leadership, volunteerism and servitude, that will enhance civic and communal awareness and consciousness.
