Governance, Active Citizenship
Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPO) are student leaders aged 13–17 who participate in, or lead, mock sessions, legislative processes, and city/municipal operations to gain hands-on governance experience. These programs, often held during Linggo ng Kabataan, include positions like Junior Mayor and Councilors, aimed at fostering civic engagement, youth empowerment, and leadership skills. These programs are designed to train future leaders, enhance youth participation in nation-building, and provide practical experience in parliamentary procedures and legislation.
