Alitaptap Publication is the school-based organization of Hilario P. Davide, Sr. National High School in Colawin, Argao, Cebu. With over a decade of service, it stands as one of the earliest school publications established in the Municipality of Argao, though its exact founding year remains under research due to limited historical sources. Guided by the Campus Journalism Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7079), its primary aim is to educate and train campus joumalists in the principles and practices of campus journalism. This includes developing skills in writing, editing, photography, layout design, and ethical reporting. The publication also seeks to foster responsible citizenship among student writers by promoting freedom of expression, critical thinking, and awareness of issues affecting the school community and society at large, in line with the Act's mandate to strengthen campus journalism as a vehicle for youth development and democratic participation.
