Social Inclusion and Equity

The Palao LGBTQIA+ Community is a youth-led organization committed to promoting inclusivity, equality, and empowerment within Barangay Palao. It serves as a safe and supportive space for LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially the youth, to express themselves freely and participate actively in community development. The organization aims to raise awareness on gender sensitivity, human rights, and diversity through educational programs, outreach activities, and advocacy campaigns. It also seeks to collaborate with local government units, schools, and partner organizations to address issues such as discrimination, mental health, and access to opportunities. Furthermore, the group is dedicated to developing leadership skills among its members, encouraging volunteerism, and fostering unity among all sectors of the community regardless of gender identity and sexual orientation. Through these efforts, the Palao LGBTQIA+ Community envisions a barangay that respects diversity, upholds equality, and ensures that every individual feels valued, heard, and empowered.
