Peace Builders created when the Office of Presidential Adviser on Peace Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) came and conducted Peace Education Tour at Mindanao State University-Sulu last May 15, 2023. Along with Fundamentals of Peace Education (FPE) 101 mandatory subject within MSU System Dir. Rowena T. Lopez came up with the suggestion to the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM) Peace Education Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Abdulla I. Mohammad, Ed. D for the creation. The following objectives are as follows; a. Educate students on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, human rights, and cultural/religious sensitivity. b. Facilitate safe spaces for interfaith, intercultural, and intergroup dialogue within the campus. c. Develop student leaders with skills in mediation, non-violent communication, and community organizing. d.
