The Society of Active General Education Students (SAGES) is a student organization established by Dr. Anna Liza Ocaya to foster unity, collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging among the Bachelor of Elementary Education Students of Lapu-Lapu CIty College. Rooted in the ideals of service and excellence, SAGES envisions its members to uphold academic excellence, be an exemplary living example of the youth, and be molders and catalysts of change. SAGES carries the mission of being a productive and operational student body organization that promotes academic excellence, functional leadership, and holistic development among its members, as well as providing the means to support them towards becoming visionary leaders, catalysts for change, and prime movers for progress. It aims to promote and uphold academic excellence among its members, engage them in community extension activities in the school or within the community, promote a mutually supportive environment by providing equal opportunities for growth regardless of personal differences, and create Income Generating Projects (IGP) for organizational savings and funding for sustainability. Anchored in its core values, integrity, diversity and inclusion, grit and focus, innovation, and excellence-SAGES nurtures a culture of learning, service, and leadership. Through these principles, the organization continues to inspire its members to strive for personal and professional growth while preparing them to make a positive and lasting impact in education and society.
