The Pinabacdao Youth DRRM Advocates Is a community-based youth organization committed to promoting disaster preparedness, climate change awareness, and volunteerism among the youth. It serves as a platform for young individuals to actively participate in disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) and climate change adaptation and mitigation (CCAM) initiatives, helping build a safer, more resilient, and climate-adaptive community. The organization focuses on empowering youth through information and education campaigns, skills training, and community engagement. It collaborates with local govemment units and partner organizations to strengthen disaster awareness, preparedness, and response at the barangay and municipal levels. Objectives: To increase youth awareness of disaster risks, hazards, and climate change through regular information campaigns using digital platforms; to organize and mobilize youth volunteers to support DRRM and CCAM programs; to provide trainings, drills, and simulations that develop practical skills in disaster preparedness, response, and basic life-saving; to involve youth in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of DRRM and CCAM activities; to engage youth in environmental protection efforts such aS tree planting, clean-up drives, and hazard mapping:; to cultivate youth leadership and advocacy in disaster resiience and climate action; to ensure volunteers are organized into response teams during emergencies; and to strengthen coordination with the LGU and DRRM partners.
