The Torch Bearer Organization is a Bachelor of Elementary Education that was a four-year program that focuses on preparing excellent educators for reflective classroom practice in elementary schools. This organization prepares students/members in the areas of literacy, mathematics, social studies, and science to create classroom environments that stimulate young students curiosity and engage their intellects in ways that directly foster high achievement. The principles of diversity, democracy, authenticity, academic rigor and accountability are integrated into both the professional foundation and elementary education pedagogy courses. Objectives: a. To foster interest and develop students in their chosen field of endeavor particularly in Elementary Education. b. To promote cooperation in good fellowship among its members and with the university as a whole. c. To enhance the spirit of leadership and subordination d. To develop civic consciousness and discipline among the members. e. To promote national and international awareness among members. f. To hold activities that will improve members’ ability to associate fully and easily in different social situations in and out of the campus.
