Cabadiangan Youth Mountain Movers Organization (CYMMO) is a community-based youth organization dedicated to empowering young people and strengthening youth participation in community development, especially in remote and far-flung areas. The organization was established with the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to be heard, involved, and supported regardless of their location or circumstances. The name “Mountain Movers” reflects the organization’s commitment to reach youth who are often overlooked due to geographical barriers. In many communities within our area, young people living in far-flung locations rarely receive support, programs, or assistance from institutions and organizations. Because of distance and limited access to resources, many of their needs and concerns remain unheard. CYMMO was formed to help bridge this gap by bringing programs, activities, and opportunities closer to these communities. True to its name, the members of the organization are willing to travel across mountains and distant communities to connect with youth, understand their challenges, and support their development. CYMMO believes that distance should never prevent young people from accessing opportunities that can help them grow, learn, and become active members of society. Through initiatives such as youth leadership development, community outreach, environmental activities, volunteer programs, and advocacy campaigns, the organization encourages young people to become active contributors to their communities. It also serves as a platform where youth can express their ideas, raise concerns, and participate in meaningful activities. Driven by volunteerism and a strong sense of community, the Cabadiangan Youth Mountain Movers Organization continues to inspire and empower youth to become leaders and partners in building stronger, more inclusive communities.
