The Aleosan NHS Disaster and Emergency Preparedness and Response Team (ANHS-DEPRT) is a school-based organization composed of student volunteers who are passionate about keeping their school safe and prepared. Established on July 24, 2025, the team was formed with the belief that preparedness saves lives and that students can play an important role in building a disaster-ready community. Guided by dedicated teachers and school leaders, the members actively participate in disaster risk reduction programs, emergency drills, and safety trainings. They learn essential skills such as basic first aid, fire safety, and proper response during earthquakes, floods, and other emergencies. More than just a response team, the organization nurtures leadership, teamwork, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility among its members. The ANHS-DEPRT supports the school in promoting awareness about potential hazards and encourages everyone (students, teachers, and parents) to take preparedness seriously. Through seminars, simulations, and collaborative activities, the team helps create a culture of readiness where safety becomes a shared responsibility. The organization aims to empower students to become confident, calm, and capable individuals during emergencies. By strengthening knowledge, skills, and values related to disaster preparedness, DEPRT contributes to building a resilient school environment where learners feel secure and supported. Above all, the team stands as a symbol of unity and service, students helping students, working together to ensure that Aleosan National High School remains a safe and prepared place for learning, no matter the challenges that may arise.
