Environment

The Youth for Environment In Schools Organization (YES-O) of Calaca Senior High School is a student-led environmental organization dedicated to promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and responsible citizenship among learners. The organization serves as a platform for students to actively participate in environmental programs, projects, and campaigns that foster a deeper understanding of ecological issues and encourage positive environmental action. Through various initiatives, YES-O aims to develop environmentally conscious individuals who recognize their role in protecting and preserving natural resources. The organization actively supports the school’s efforts In maintaining a clean, safe, and sustainable environment through activities such as waste management campaigns, clean-up drives, tree-growing initiatives, information dissemination, environmental celebrations, and other community-based environmental programs. By engaging students in these activities, YES-O promotes leadership, teamwork, volunteerism, and social responsibility while inspiring members to become advocates for environmental protection within and beyond the school community. Objectives: 1. To promote environmental awareness and educate students on environmental issues, conservation practices, and sustainable lifestyles. 2. To encourage active participation in environmental protection, preservation, and advocacy programs within the school and community. 3. To implement projects that support proper waste management, resource conservation, and campus greening initiatives. 4. To develop leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility through environmental activities and community engagement. 5. To foster a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability within the school community. 6. To collaborate with school stakeholders, local government units, and partner organizations in implementing environmental programs and campaigns. 7. To inspire students to become citizens who contribute to building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
