The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) is the highest governing body for students at the secondary level within the Philippine basic education system. Established under the Department of Education (DepEd) policy, it serves as the official representative organization of the student body. The SSL acts as a platform for student leadership, providing learners with a voice in school governance while fostering values of democracy, service, and social responsibility. It operates as a bridge between the students, the school administration, and the community, facilitating student-led projects and activities that enhance the overall school experience. Objectives The primary objectives of the SSLG are as follows: • Promote Student Welfare: To uphold and protect the rights of students, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. • Develop Leadership: To serve as a laboratory for democratic governance, equipping students with essential leadership skills, ethical decision-making capabilities, and a sense of accountability. Facilitate Representation: To provide a formal mechanism for students to express their opinions, suggestions, and concerns regarding school policies and activities to the administration. • Foster Community Engagement: To encourage students to participate in programs that contribute to community development, environmental protection, and civic consciousness. • Enhance Academic Experience: To support the school's mission by initiating projects that complement academic learning, promote camaraderie, and improve student morale.
