The Mountain Collegian is the official student publication of Benguet State University-La Trinidad for almost 63 years. It serves as the voice of the student body and express its opinions in contemporary issues. Specifically, it seeks to: 1. Uphold and pursue the highest standards and ethics of journalism; 2. Publish and uphold just, honest and truthful information; 3. Uphold and protect the rights of the students; 4. Promote social, cultural and national consciousness among students; 5. Serve as an active forum for current issues that are of concern and relevance to the students; 6. Promote and foster writing and journalistic talents of students; and 7. Promote and publish new discoveries and breakthroughs in agriculture and other fields through researches especially those conducted by researchers of the University.
