Kabataan sa Poblacion Barotac Viejo, Iloilo (KP-BVI) is a youth organization which aims a proactive youth society \r\nthrough motivating young leaders to become self-sufficient, autonomous, and influential members of their \r\ncommunities. This organization supports and assists in disseminating information of activities under the GO for \r\nGreener Barotac Viejo Project. In addition, its members are situated on all seven puroks of Barangay Poblacion, \r\nBarotac Viejo to effectively circulate updates in information throughout the community. These puroks are: Amihan, \r\nIlaya, Paghidaet, Malipayon, Makawiwili, Ilawod and Mainuswagon. The organization aims to promote the \r\nfollowing: a.) To protect and maintain all members’ individual and collective rights; b.) To educate all members \r\nabout their rights and responsibilities as a part of the organization; c.) To inspire members in their decision-making \r\nand help them explore and articulate their strengths and skills; d.) To empower members to thrive as individuals and \r\ntake on new challenges through volunteering and social action, all while contributing positively to the community; \r\ne.) To instill in young people a sense of responsibility and ownership for their decisions, as well as to foster citizenship \r\nand community engagement; f.) Encourage young people to contribute, direct programs and lead their own \r\nyouth-led projects in order to improve their learning and growth opportunities; and g.) To form strong partnerships \r\nwith organization that share our goals, allowing young people to further improve their talents and aptitudes for their \r\nown personal growth as well as the long-term success and advancement of their communities.
