The Student Executive Council is the highest self-governing and coordinating body of the University of La Salette. It\r\nis composed of President, Vice-President, 3 Secretaries (Minute, File and Board), Treasurer, Auditor, Press Relations\r\nOfficer and Business Manager who are elected by popular votes before the end of the school year. It specifically\r\naims to:\r\n1. Serve as the official representative of the studentry in any affairs concerning the general interest of the\r\nstudents both in school and in the larger community;\r\n2. Promote and safeguard students’ rights and welfare through its various programs, projects and activities;\r\n3. Work with the Administration in uplifting the student standard of education by initiating and organizing\r\nprojects, activities, programs and researches as deemed necessary and helping in concerted efforts with\r\nother student leaders in the implementation of the school’s philosophy and objectives, rules, regulations and\r\npolicies;\r\n4. Represents the whole studentry in making and determining school policies which directly affect the students;\r\n5. Foster friendship, goodwill, loyalty, cooperation and concern for everyone among the students and other\r\nsectors of the academic community;\r\n6. Serves as “mediator” for students’ opinions and suggestions to the Administration; and\r\n7. Collaborate with all accredited student clubs and organizations in the University and with other sectors in\r\ngeneral, on the pursuit of common interest, particularly in the establishment of a just and humane society.
