The Rainbow Alliance, as one of the active youth organizations here in Cadiz City, comprises LGBTQIA+ representatives coming from 22 different barangays to promote a better understanding of LGBTQIA+ orientations, to achieve mutual respect and understanding and to eliminate prejudice and discrimination and also to develop a sense of camaraderie and encourage other LGBTQIA+ members to expose, stand and fight against all forms of bigotry and discriminatory practices that tend to deprive persons of our human and/or civil rights. The Rainbow Alliance aims to build a strong organization that bonds a harmonious relationship of the LGBTQIA+ citizens with the society. Solidified in campaigning for protection, equality and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment to all Cadiznons. Furthermore, we envision an inclusive and a “queer-friendly” society that upholds respect and understanding among individuals with diverse sexual orientations and gender identity expressions to thrive for a safer community to all where peace and unity reigns.
