Red Cross Youth refers to any young person, aged 7 to 30 years old, who has completed the induction \r\ncourses prescribed under the Youth Volunteer Formation Course; has been enrolled in the Membership and Accident Assistance Benefit Program; and has pledged as a youth member volunteer of the Philippine Red Cross. It collectively represents the sixth major services of the Philippine Red Cross and is dedicated towards the development of the youth as agents of change and humanitarian leaders through direct involvement in various humanitarian actions. Its objectives are:\r\n1. Inculcation of Humanitarian Values\r\n• The organization promotes the inculcation of humanitarian values and principles to enable them\r\n to live by them and be guided as they take future roles as humanitarian leaders.\r\n2. Instill the Practice of Healthy Lifestyle\r\n• The organization aims to help build healthier communities through youth participation as agents\r\n of behavioral change in health promotion.\r\n3. Enhance Youth Leadership Skills through Service Delivery\r\n• The youth’s leadership potential is honed by providing opportunities for direct involvement in the\r\n delivery of development and humanitarian services.\r\n4. Advocate National/International Friendship\r\n• Young volunteers and leaders take part in promoting friendship and solidarity through intercultural\r\n and intergenerational dialogues and initiatives.
