A student organization, called the Philippine Association of Geothermal Engineering Students (PAGES) was \r\norganized to enhance the program. The organization was established in 1997. As an alternative, the course \r\nstudent government, which does not require registration, was utilized to organize the students and the activities of \r\nthe program geared towards enhancement. \r\nPurpose of the organization: \r\n● To prime the students in molding their outlook, attitude, eccentricity, and character needed for the growth \r\nof the community. \r\n● To help the students in practicing their competency in their fields. \r\n● To empower and develop the skills of the students in contributing to the development of the community. \r\n● To promote geothermal engineering as a field in engineering and as a sustainable power source. \r\nThe objectives of the Philippine Association of Geothermal Engineering Students are as follows: \r\nP– Provide knowledge to the students and to the public on the significance and importance of geothermal in today’s \r\noverwhelming development; \r\nA – Acquire the right mind-set in serving those in need; \r\nG– Give a sense of purpose towards the community; \r\nE – Engross the students’ to see the need of geothermal engineers in the world; \r\nS – Serve the people in desire to achieve a progressive community where geothermal centers provide the source to \r\nlight the world.
