The Kabalikat Initiative (TM) is a non-profit youth organization established in September 2020 by a group of friends from different universities around the Philippines bonded with the common desire of acting in response to the emerging crises in our country. \r\nAs a growing organization, its mission is to empower the Filipino youth to channel and utilize their skills and talents for the betterment of the community and strive to help to the best of their abilities. Alongside this, The Kabalikat Initiative envisions a society filled with youth serving as instruments of change in building and promoting proactivity and equity in the community; To be beacons of hope and to inspire the youth to act for those in need. \r\nIn the span of its existence, it has conducted multiple donation drives and launched projects that reached out to communities gravely affected by the pandemic and natural calamities. This varies from Financial Assistance, Relief Operations, Feeding programs, and Campaigns for Social Awareness. Firstly, it launched Project Servire, a donation drive aimed to provide financial assistance to the families of retrenched non-teaching staff of the founders\' alma mater. Not short after, Kapit Kabalikat was launched unplanned as Typhoon Rolly and Ulysses flooded multiple cities. TKI has also participated in setting up a Community Pantry and has developed a traditional feeding program done every Christmas time. Lastly, The Kabalikat Initiative deemed it important to empower youth through educating them on societal current affairs and what actions we could take to impart goodness in our community despite the challenges we face every day.
