The Gingoog Champions League (GCL) is primarily a sports league for the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game League of Legends and functions similar to a traditional sports league facilitating and regulating team-player transactions, organizing competitive events, and managing the oversight of esports development and ensuring competitive integrity. In this regard, GCL shall serve as the governing body for competitive League of Legends in Gingoog City at the amateur level and serve as an institutional access to professional gaming.\r\n\r\nGCL shall also serve to educate the public and provide context to the development and role of esports in the future modernization and global inclusion of local gamers. \r\n\r\nOverall, the objectives of the GCL are to establish a local amateur league to open opportunities for Gingoog gamers and improve community relations of the youth who are part of this community thru events and to educate the public about this advocacy and destigmatize the concept of gaming.\r\n
