Barkada Kontra Droga is a peer group organized to provide and support school activities that promote awareness and intervention to drug abuse and its related issues. This group also supports the projects of the community and its local government with the same objective. This organization is supported by the students, teachers, school administrators, barangay council, local government unit, private institutions and other identified stakeholders. \r\n The following are the objectives of BKD:\r\n• To promote people empowerment in leading a healthy lifestyle that is drug-free and productive.\r\n• To support the enforcement of the Philippine Legal Codes on drugs and other forms of addiction, DepEd issuances on advocating anti-drug and addiction programs, and the provisions of the Constitution and By-Laws of the BKD;\r\n• To uphold and to promote the ideals, principles, thrusts, and objectives of the BKD, SSG, NDEP of the School, and the Department of Education;\r\n• To spearhead on the advocacy on promotion, prevention and information dissemination on substance abuse and any form of addiction;\r\n• To serve as a representative in the SSG Coordinating Council advocating relative to substance abuse and any form of addiction;\r\n
