The Republic of the Philippines Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) issued the Board Regulation No. 5 series of 2007, also known as Institutionalizing the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Program in all public schools nationwide. In 2016, the first year of inauguration of Filemon T. Lizan Senior High School, BKD was implemented and adopted.\r\nFTLSHS-BKD, as a peer-led organization that seeks to promote awareness and address issues on the use of drugs and other illegal substance. This preventive measure of the Department of Education (DepEd) enables the school to provide a safe and healthy environment for all without the harm and effects of drugs.\r\nFurthermore, the club also provides other programs, projects, and activities such as seminars, online advocacies, and recreational activities to impart the value and essence of life that is free from harm.\r\nThis simple effort of the DepEd, together with the National Drugs Education Program and Barkada Kontra Droga, a secured space for students is attained.
