The SDRRM Club is a school-based organization that was established in 2015 to prioritize awareness and safety protocols for students at Regional Science High School for Region 2. It helps students identify, assess and manage hazards and risks that they may encounter at school. Disaster management involves a continuous and integrated process of planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing measures that are necessary for the prevention of danger or threat of any disaster.\r\n\r\nSchool Disaster Risk Reduction Management aims to:\r\n• Reduce vulnerability and exposure to all hazards \r\n• Enhance the capacities of the institution to reduce their own risks and cope with the impacts of all hazards\r\n• Increase the level of awareness to the threats and impacts of all hazards, risks and vulnerabilities \r\n• Equip with the necessary skills to cope with the negative impacts of a disaster\r\n• Develop and implement preparedness policies, plans and systems.
