Red Cross Youth Mission- To educate and empower the children and youth in the spirit of Red Cross through relevant training and effective leadership, and to provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their energy and idealism into worthwhile humanitarian activities. Objectives- Inculcation of Humanitarian Values - Instill the practice of Healthy Lifestyle -Enhance Youth Leadership Skills through Service Delivery -Advocate National/International Friendship. The Red Cross Youth is the primary service and induction training program of the Philippine Red Cross for its young volunteers aged 7 to 30 years of age. This is constituted by a laddered learning program sulted to the different learning needs of children and youth programmed according to their age. In order to proceed, they are required to complete the courses is sequence which are provided with age appropriate subjects and learning approaches and methodologies are provided to the Red Cross Youth Volunteers. The Youth Volunteers Orientation Course acquaints new volunteers to the ideals, early beginnings, and the purpose of the Red cross Crescent movement and how they may contribute as volunteers through the Philippine Red Cross. The Leadership Formation Course component introduces children and youth to the importance of deepening awareness of their own personhood and the clarification of their personal values as they reflect on their potential as future humanitarian leaders. The last component courses, the Basic Leadership Training Course, Introduces children and youth to the concepts of development, organization, teamwork, and the basic concepts of leadership. Banking on the potential of the youth in igniting aspirations among their peers and inspiring mutual learning, the Red Cross Youth is mobilizing Youth Instructors who facilitate the three basic course components to their fellow young to be empowered to create positive influence and inspire behavioral change. Children and youth are educated on the thematic focus areas which include HIV Prevention, Substance Abuse Prevention, Child Participation and Protection, and Disaster Preparedness, Climate Action and Care for the Environment, Health Promotion, Welfare, and First Aid through peer education. The peer education course equips young volunteers with the necessary competencies to become agents of behavioral change to their fellow youth. With the intention of creating a positive supportive attitude towards respect for diversity and the appreciation of a culture of non-violence and peace, it adopts an approach complementary ti IFRC\'s Youth as Agents of Behavioral Change.
