Peace-Building and Security, Governance, Active Citizenship

The Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) is a youth-led organization that promotes a culture of peace and advocates against drug abuse and terrorism. The group operates under the supervision of the Philippine National Police, specifically the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13. KKDAT responds to the call for a whole-of-nation approach to address the challenges of Executive Orders no. 66 and 70, s.2018, and is committed to fulfilling the mandate of Republic Act 8044, which recognizes the important role of the youth in nation-building. The organization envisions to inform, organize, and mobilize the youth and student sectors as an advocacy support group, with the purpose of standing against illegal drugs and terrorism. By partnering with the Police Community and other important community stakeholders, the organization seeks to enflame the Spirit of Volunteerism among the youth and student sectors. Through various relations platforms and programs, the organization strives to empower the youth and student sectors, enabling them to become proactive partners of the government in the nationwide cascading advocacies related to anti-terrorism and anti-illegal drugs, particularly in matters related to the implementation of the Executive Orders No. 66 s. 2018 and 70 s. 2018, respectively named, INSTITUTIONALIZING THE PHILIPPINE ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS STRATEGY and INSTITUTIONALIZING THE WHOLE-OF-NATION APPROACH IN ATTAINING INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE PEACE, CREATING A NATIONAL TASK FORCE TO END LOCAL COMMUNIST ARMED CONFLICT, AND DIRECTING THE ADOPTION OF A NATIONAL PEACE FRAMEWORK.
