The Center for UCC’s Best Entertainers (CUBE) as a university theatre group will provide leadership for the development of performing arts inside the University of Caloocan City to be outstanding professional presenters and facilitators. Advocate for the proper resourcing of performing arts and for presenters, facilitators and venues for all UNIVERSITY OF CALOOCAN students. It is committed to providing safe, exciting, and educational plays for each or our performers and members in a disciplined but enjoyable environment. The mission of the Center for UCC's Best Entertainers (CUBE) is to shape lives through theatre education. We believe that theatre programs are more vital than ever, given their ability to support the social and emotional wellbeing of students in this time of great change and trauma. We also believe that theatre performance opportunities—a central component to all theatre education programs. Thus, CUBE will continue to hone student-artists to develop their critical thinking and disciplinary excellence through experiential learning, collaboration and interdisciplinary practices and prepare them to be a relevant artist through online training. Goals and Objectives Student-artists develop actors’ artistry and craft through the integrative study of acting, voice and movement in an intensive laboratory and production environment that includes the following distinctive learning objectives: 1. Build intellectual and aesthetic understanding of the craft and technique of theatre arts; 2. Develop appreciation and respect toward various roles/aspects inherent within the theatrical process; Generate and conceptualize artistic ideas and work; 3. Organize and develop artistic ideas and work; 4. Refine and complete artistic work; 5. Synthesize and relate knowledge and personal experiences to make an art; and 6. Relate artistic ideas and works with societal, cultural and historical context to deepen understanding.
