The organization known as the A Team of Modern Scientists (ATOMS) of the Philippine Normal University Visayas Campus, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. The organization shall develop the scientific attitude of members, allowing for the optimum harnessing of individual potentials in the discipline particularly in the democratic and participatory atmosphere with an emphasis on environment and green technology education. The objectives of the organization are as follows: a. Develop among the members the scientific attitude in dealing in life: b. Value through scientific attitude, things in the university by using them as resources; c. Teach students the value and function of science and math in daily life; d. Create and contribute solutions to the current environmental problems; e. Promote and implement the Clean and Green, Zero Waste Management, and Proper Waste Segregation program of the government; f. Apply scientific theories, laws and principles in making investigatory projects and critical thinking in solving problems; g. Update students of the latest trends in science and technology in the new millennium; h. Develop among students the appreciation of scientific and technological advancement through inventions and discoveries; i. Coordinate and establish alliances with other organizations sharing the same goals and aspirations; j. Prepare students for the Licensure Examination for Teachers; and k. Educate the community about the environment and green technology and disaster management.
