Active Citizenship

Currently sits as member of the Quezon City Youth Development Council. (a) Spiritual Growth – Foster the spiritual growth of the youth by providing them a nurturing and inclusive environment, equipping them with scriptural knowledge, and encouraging personal faith development. (b) Leadership Development – Empower the youth to become influential leaders by offering leadership training programs, mentoring, and practical experiences that promote critical thinking, decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills. (c) Community Engagement – Encourage youth to actively engage with the community by organizing outreach programs, volunteering in social initiatives, and addressing community needs through service projects that promote social justice, equality, and compassion, in accordance with the Catholic Social Teaching. (d) Skills Enhancement – Provide the youth various opportunities to develop their talents, interests, and skills through workshops, training sessions, and vocational programs. This includes music, arts, sports, entrepreneurship, and personal development. (e) Collaborative Partnership – Build strong partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, churches, and community stakeholders to maximize resources, expand reach, and create collective impact in addressing community needs and challenges. (f) Advocacy and Awareness – Raise awareness and advocacy for issues affecting the youth and the community, such as education, health, social justice, and environmental sustainability, among many others. Empower the youth to become voices for positive change and active participants in shaping a better future. (g) Mentorship and Support – Provide mentorship, counseling, and support services to the youth, fostering their personal and emotional well-being. Create a safe and inclusive space where they can share their challenges, seek guidance, and receive encouragement. (h) Networking and Fellowship – Facilitate networking and fellowship opportunities for the youth within the Church and the wider community. Create platforms for the youth to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships, fostering a sense of belonging and unity.
